Dear friends in Christ,
It is a great honour to have you as visitors at Melthodhaye. Melthodhaye is not merely a homepage but also an organization. Melthodhaye was established in January of 2008 and serves under the auspices and blessings of His Holiness Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, Patriarch of Antioch and all the East, Supreme Head of the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church and under the Holy Synod. We are very thankful to our Lord Jesus Christ to have reached this far as an organization and more importantly that Melthodhaye now has become a Patriarchal Youth Organization.

Melthodhaye means “the life giving word”in Syriac, namely, that the Word became flesh and was sacrificed for the sake of our salvation. The only begotten Word, Jesus Christ, gave us a new life through His death on the Cross and through His bodily resurrection from the dead.

This organization is mainly presented by its website, www.melthodhaye.com, which is a source where you can find the very foundation of the Syrian Orthodox Church’s faith and traditions. In this website you can also find different tools such as spiritual and academical articles, tube clips, hymns, prayers, a discussion forum and a worldwide map. The content within the different tools includes our Church tradition, Church liturgy, Syriac language, Church Fathers, Church history and Church hymns. Read more about Melthodhaye's Board here.

Thus, Melthodhaye’s main purpose is to offer guidance to stimulate and strengthen the personal development of the spiritual life. Moreover, we wish to promote and secure the treasures of the Syrian Orthodox Church. To do that, we also need a financial stability. This website can be considered to help you nurture and develop your spiritual life and knowledge about our Syrian Orthodox Church. The most important thing is that you have the will, only then can the different tools in this website be a help to reach your goal.
